Talking Drums history

Mark Walker was one of the first musicians to offer team building drum workshops in the UK corporate market, his first events being for Virgin Atlantic in 1997.

In 2001 he created a 40 minute musical energiser for Arthur Andersen for 750 delegates, with the specific brief of going back to basics, being part of a huge primeval activity that didn't involve technology.

From here were developed the rhythms, songs and dances that are the basis for many of the Talking Drums energisers Mark now creates in the UK and abroad – his first trip overseas being for Arthur Andersen's Swiss conference a month later, booked on the success of the first!
